Sektar works because neighbours trust each other. These guidelines keep it that way.

Be real

Use your real name and keep your details honest. Never fake your location.

Be kind

No harassment, threats, abuse or bullying. No hate speech, and no attacks on anyone's religion, sect, ethnicity, gender or disability.

Respect privacy

Don't post someone's address, phone number or photos without their permission. Don't share private messages publicly.

Trade honestly

Describe items and services truthfully, with real photos and real prices. No fake listings, no bait-and-switch, no scams.

Keep it safe

Meet in public places when buying or selling. Parents: stay present when your child meets a tutor for the first time. If something feels wrong, trust your instinct.

Report, don't retaliate

Use Report and Block instead of arguing. Our team reviews every report.

Sektar is not an emergency service. In an emergency call 15 (Police) or 1122 (Rescue).
