About Sektar

Last updated 27 September 2026

Sektar is one app for everyday life in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi — Phases 1 to 8. Neighbours, local shops and delivery, home services, a marketplace for cars and property, and ways to earn from home, all in one place.

Sektar is an independent community app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Bahria Town (Private) Limited. Nothing in the app is an official Bahria Town notice, and complaints posted here do not reach Bahria Town maintenance.

Who can join

Sektar is made for the people of Bahria Town. When you allow your location inside the town, you are a Bahria Resident straight away and can post, sell and take part in everything. Anyone else can sign in as a Visitor to browse shops and ads and message sellers.

Staying active

The app checks your location when you open it. To stay a Resident, open it inside the town now and then:

  • in your first 30 days, you see a reminder after 5 days without being seen in town, and from day 7 a check from outside the town makes you a Visitor;
  • after that, the reminder comes after 14 days, and from 7 days later a check from outside the town makes you a Visitor.

Nothing changes while the app cannot tell where you are: only a clear reading outside the town does. Being seen inside the town again makes you a Resident at once. Accounts are never deleted automatically.

Travelling

Going away for longer? Switch on travel mode before you leave and choose your return date — up to 183 days away. The clock pauses while you are gone.

Overseas owners

If you own property in the town but live abroad, you can use the app as a Visitor, and check your location on your next visit to become a Resident. Our team can also exempt an owner abroad from location checks: contact support.
